Giving Back

We are thrilled to have an organization that is so aligned with our healthy living vision as the beneficiary of our multi-faceted “Giving Back” efforts.

All contributions made through this website and from local businesses partnering with us on this project through membership in our resource directory will be going to the NWI Food Council.

A little about this local non-profit:

The NWI Food Council is a 501c3 nonprofit and their mission is to cultivate a just, thriving and regenerative food system for all people in Northwest Indiana. They’re a grassroots organization that launched in December 2015 with support from NIRPC, Valpo Law, Food Bank of NWI, and Purdue Extension. The Council serves all of Northwest Indiana: Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Newton, Jasper, Starke, and Pulaski counties.

They envision a local food system where everyone has affordable access to nutritious food that is grown by regional producers using regenerative practices. Through community-based strategies, the NWI Food Council works towards collaboration, healthy ecosystems, equity and resiliency for all in Northwest Indiana.
